HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SKIN AND AVOID INGROWN HAIRS AFTER WAXING
> Do not bath in extremely hot water! Luke warm only.
> Do not use any soaps or perfumes for 24 hours.
> Exfoliate twice a week (either with a scrub or gloves.)
> Moisturise every day until the new hairs grow.
> Do not use any deodorants for up to 24 hours if underarms have been treated.
> Avoid UVA and UVB and always use a sun screen with at least an SPF 30.
> Avoid wearing tight fitting clothing.
> Do not use a swimming pool or spa for 48 hours.
> Do not rub the waxed area as bacteria from fingers can infect the skin.
> Avoid intimate relations for 24 hours if you have been waxed in the genital area.
Waxing is a method of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root and is effective in removing large amounts of hair at a time. over long periods of time repeatedly waxed areas will promote softer re-growth and permanent hair reduction may be achieved when waxing is done regularly for several years.
Waxing is not recommended to anyone suffering from diabetes or who have varicose veins or poor circulation. It is advised that users of Retin-A, Renova, Differin, or Isotretinion do not have waxing performed as these medications may cause the skin to weaken and be prone to tearing. Avoid proceeding with a wax when areas of skin is affected by warts, pimples, moles, rashes, skin which is irritated, chapped or sunburnt, peeling or broken. During the week prior to menstruation woman may experience greater sensitivity to pain, and their tolerance to pain may vary at different points in their menstrual cycle.
If you are looking to enhance the eyes, the closest thing to permanent make-up for the brows and lashes is tinting. Depending on your lifestyle, tinting temporarily dyes the brows and lashes up to 5 weeks. Tinting is a great alternative to mascara especially if you are to be in water, go camping or spend the day outside as it does not smudge.
